This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. We use one small piece of local storage to remember your cookie-banner choice, and - only if you click Accept - Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. Click Decline and no analytics cookies are set at all.
hpl-consent (localStorage, kept until you clear your browser data): remembers whether you accepted or declined the cookie notice, so we don't show it on every visit. This is strictly functional and contains no personal information.
Google Analytics 4 (only after you click Accept): cookies beginning with _ga (kept for up to 2 years) that help us see which pages are visited and how people find the site, using aggregated statistics with IP anonymisation enabled. We use this to improve the site, nothing else. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this site - the banner will then reappear and you can choose Decline.
Netlify, which hosts this site and processes our enquiry form, may set strictly-necessary cookies required to deliver the site securely. Google Fonts delivers the typefaces on this site; loading them shares your IP address with Google but sets no cookies. Google Analytics is covered in section 2 above and runs only with your consent. If you follow the podcast link to Spotify, Spotify's own cookie policy applies on their site.
Analytics run only if you have chosen "Accept" in the cookie banner. Until you choose, and whenever you choose Decline, the Google Analytics script is never loaded - not loaded-and-ignored, simply never loaded.
